Breaking: Some Schools to be Closed on Monday 29th August, CS George Magoha Announces
The Cabinet Secretary in charge of the Ministry of Education CS George Magoha has finally made clear on the schools that will be closed on Monday 29th of August this year.
According to him, only day schools that are in Kakamega, Mombasa and other areas where elections will be conducted on Monday that will be closed and the boarding schools will remain operational.
He has also noted that all day schools in the other six areas where elections will be conducted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission will as well be closed.

Prof Magoha has since said that it will be unnecessary for learners especially those in boarding to go home again due to elections that will be conducted by the electoral commission.
The elections were suspended alongside parliamentary polls in Kacheliba and Pokot South constituencies over ballot mix ups.Traditionally, schools are used as polling and tallying centers during elections
