Exploring TSC Commuter Allowance Rates Per Job Group
Each teacher on the payroll receives a Commuter stipend from the Teachers Service Commission . Each month, educators receive this sum to help defray the cost of getting to and from work. The greatest monthly commuter allowance is reserved for Chief Principals at Grade D5. These educators get a Commuter allowance of Sh16,000.
Principals and Senior Principals at D4 level receive a Sh14,000 monthly commuting payment.
D2 level deputies receive Sh8,000 per month for commuting costs, while D1 level deputies and senior masters receive Sh12,000 per month.
The commuter allowance of Sh8,000 applies to both Senior Masters II (grade C5) and Deputy Head Teachers (grade C4).
The monthly commuting allowance for secondary school teachers at grade C3 is Sh6,000. Keep in mind that this is the primary group of secondary school educators.
The lowest-paid teacher, at grade B5, receives Sh4,000 in commuter pay every month.
