The KCSE Exam Results 2021/2022 will be released today on April 23 2022 at the Mitihani House Nairobi by the Education CS Prof. George Magoha.

 

You will be able to check your result After the release of 2021 KCSE by CS Magoha, you can find them immediately using Knec SMS Code.

To get results for KCSE 2021/2022 via SMS send an SMS with your Index Number to 20076 for Safaricom, Airtel and Telcom networks.

 

To check your KCSE result via SMS Code

Just send your full index number (11 digits) followed by KCSE to the KNEC SMS Code 20076.

 

Example 23467847002KCSE and send to 20076. After the full index number there is no space between the last number and the initial.

 

This is the fastest way to get your KCSE 2021 results. Please note that SMS will be charged KSh25. Send SMS as soon as the results are announced.

 

How to check 2021 KCSE Results online

You can check out KCSE Results 2021/2022 Online via the Knec portal. To check your 2021/2022 KNEC KCSE results online, go to the KNEC website: http://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/ and enter your Index number.

 

To use this method to check results for 2021/2022 you only need to remember your index number and access your mobile phone or computer below is the procedure you can follow:

 

Visit the official KNEC website (knec.ac.ke)

See the KCSE results tab, click on it

Select the year in which the tests lasted

Enter your Index number.

Finally click the submit button.

Your KCSE results should appear on screen later.

To collect KCSE Result Slip

KNEC will send slips of KCSE 2021 results to schools in hard copy. Applicants should visit their schools to pick the slips of their official results.

 

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), advises all candidates to verify the following information and ensure it is correct.:

 

surname and name;

secondary school;

subject and grade.

If something is wrong – contact the Kenya examinations council within one month after the KCSE results were announced.

 

As you can see, there is nothing difficult about getting your KCSE results. Its all about choosing the most convenient method for you and going for it. Use this guide to access KCSE results ranking for any candidate school or county. All the best!

 

Grading

system
KNEC grades candidates who sit for 7 or more KCSE subjects during the national examinations.

Results for candidates who do not meet certificate award requirements are indicated as follows:

“W” – candidates whose results have been withheld for various reasons
“X” – candidates who were absent during the examination
“Y” – candidates involved in examination irregularities will have their results cancelled.
“Z” – candidates who will not have met registration requirement
“U” – candidates who will not have met the certificate award criteria
The examinations body puts all subjects into five groups. These groups include:

Group I – These are compulsory subjects all students must sit for during exams. They include English (101), Kiswahili (102), and Mathematics (121).

Group II – The group consists of four science subjects. However, a student must sit for at least two subjects during the exams. They include Biology (231), Physics (232), Chemistry (233), and General Science (237).

Group III – The group consists of five humanities subjects. A student must sit for at least one subject during the exams. They include History and Government (311), Geography (312), Christian Religious Education (313), Islamic Religious Education (314), and Hindu Religious Education (315).

Group IV – There are eleven subjects in this group. The subjects include: Home Science (411), Art and Design (442), Agriculture (443), Woodwork (444), Metalwork (445), Building Construction (446), Power Mechanics (447), Electricity (448), Drawing and Design (449), Aviation Technology (450), and Computer Studies (451).

Group V – The groups consists of subjects from languages and business studies. They include French (501), German (502), Arabic (503), Kenya Sign Language (504), Music (511), and Business Studies (565).

A student can choose the seventh subject from Group II or Groups III, IV or V. To get a mean grade based on the KCSE grading system 2019, KNEC averages a student’s score in all the seven (7) subjects.
