How to Get TSC Job promotion From Grade C II to C III
The teachers Service Commission effects teachers’ promotion once a teacher finishes three years in the entry grade.
The teachers’ grades below shall form common establishment in the teaching service, according to the Teachers’ Career progression Guidelines set by TSC;
The Primary Teacher II T-Scale 5 and Primary Teacher I T-Scale 6 for Primary Teachers Education Certificate holders;
The Secondary Teacher III / Lecturer III T-Scale 6 and Secondary Teacher II /Lecturer II T-Scale 7 for Diploma holders; and
. The Secondary Teacher II/Lecturer II T-Scale 7 (K) and Secondary Teacher I/Lecturer I T scale 8 (L) for holders of Bachelor of Education or its equivalent.
Note that every teacher must complete the “PERFORMANCE REPORT ON A TEACHER FOR ASSESSMENT ON SUITABILITY FOR Advancement/APPOINTMENT TO THE NEXT GRADE” form in order to be eligible for common cadre promotion.
Also note that the teacher must fill out the following information, among others:
i). Official Name of teacher
ii). The teacher’s current grade/ Job group
iii). The teacher’s Current teaching institution/ station
iv). The teacher’s duties executed currently.
v). The teacher’s TSC Number
vi). The teacher’s appointment date
Also note that the head of institution is then expected to give a report on the teacher on his/her Knowledge of the job & performance.
In addition, the teacher’s ability to coach students & participate in Co- curricular activities, acceptance of responsibilities, General conduct and suitability for promotion are also submitted.
After duly filling this form, it is then sent to the Commission headquarter for action
