MoE, Final School Calendar For Primary And Secondary For The Academic Year 2022-202 As Schools Reopens Today
According to the ministry of education, the year 2022 has four terms and five national examinations ( two KCPE, two KCSE and one Assessment for pioneer class of the new competence based curriculum who will be completing Grade 6).
Term three of the of the academic year 2021 commenced in earnest 0n January 3rd, 2022, and is scheduled to end on March 4th, 2022 in a bid to to pave way for the 2021 KCPE and KCSE exams.
The 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE) was conducted in months of March and April that was taken by current outgoing candidates in class eight and form four respectively.
Non-candidates learners will proceeded to a holiday that is close to seven weeks. This lengthy holiday enabled candidates to complete their exams and give ample time for marking exercise before the ministry of education releases it.
The first term of 2022 will commence on the 25th day of the month of April. The ten-week-long term will have a three-day mid term break between 26th May and 29th May 2022.
Term one will end on the 2nd day of June to pave way for short holiday be concluded on 10th June 2022.
Second term of the year 2022 will start on 11th June and end on 16th of September 2022. The term will also have 10 weeks and a three-day mid term break that will be between 11th August and 14th August 2022.
The last term of 2022 will kick off on 26th September and end on 25th November 2022 to pave way for National examination both KCPE and KCSE. KCPE 2022 will start on 28th November and end on 1st December 2022.
OFFICIAL SCHOOL CALENDAR TERM DATES
2022 KCSE will start on 1st December and end on 23rd December 2022. Marking exercise will take place between 2nd January 2023 and 20th January 2023.
