NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 9- Teachers marking the just concluded Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams have been cautioned against using their cell phones, during the exercise.

 

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha said the exercise was being carried out under strict and meticulous guidelines to ensure exam integrity.

The exercise which started a week ago is being conducted in 35 centres and be completed in two weeks’ time to allow candidates to transit to colleges and vocational institutions.

 

KCSE candidates will start joining universities as early as June, this year.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) will start placing the candidates in the institutions immediately after the KCSE results are released.

 

Education officials have said that there will be no waste of time.
