The Teacher Services Commission (TSC) has announced the start of interviews with new district-based school administrators across Kenya.
The committee said these new interviews will take place next week as many teachers who have applied for the post have already received their invitations.

These TSC Teacher Interview Promotions are for Principals and deputy Principals.
Specific dates and locations for TSC interviews for teacher promotions.
Based on our guidelines, these new interviews will begin on Monday, March 20, 2023 for most locations.
The commission plans to promote a total of 11,258 teachers to co-executive positions in the 2022-2023 fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macaria revealed this information while testifying before the Department of Education’s Board of Education in the House of Representatives.
Macharia also provided this report on health services, teacher hiring, career advancement, and teacher mobility.
The specification in the TSC document states:
A total of 6,214 educators move her up one grade
A total of 5,436 educators progress through her two stages from B5 (Primary Teacher I) to her C1 (Primary Teacher II).
To this end, teacher employers are supporting a total of 11,258 teachers in co-administered funds for fiscal year 2022/2023. From the report of Dr. Machalia out.
Prioritize TSC promotion categories for teachers
In his upcoming TSC promotion negotiations, a total of 551 teachers will be promoted from his TSC.

Kakamega with the best promotional slots are:
36 teachers move from C1 to C2
288 teachers move from C3 to C4
227 teachers move from C1 to C5.

Garissa County’s 21 slots are divided as follows:
Teachers from B5 to C1,
Teachers from C1 to C2,
Teachers from C2 to C3,
TSC further noted that its data captures a total of 7,282 current primary school teachers who are eligible to transfer to secondary school (JSS).
