Did you fall short of achieving the bare minimum grade of C+ required for admission to an accredited college or university? concerns regarding post-secondary career choices Put your worries to rest; this article contains the answers you’ve been looking for.
Before enrolling in a university, college, or technical institute, many students lack the fundamental knowledge necessary to select a suitable professional path. The fact that many of them don’t know what kinds of classes are available at universities is a major cause for alarm.
Furthermore, many students are unaware that even if they meet the minimum requirements for admission to a college or university, this does not guarantee that they will be able to enrol in any or all of the courses that are available at that institution. There is a cap that depends on your overall KCSE performance and the courses you chose to take.
According to the results of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) in 2022, 708,071 pupils did achieve the minimum grade of C+ necessary for entry into higher education.
On Friday, January 20 at Mitihani House, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu reported that just 173,345 pupils had achieved a mean grade above a C+ on the examinations.
The Kenya University and Colleges Central placement service (KUCCPS) would facilitate government sponsorship to institutions for all 173,345 KCSE 2022 students.
The 881,416 students who took the KCSE in 2022 are required to continue their education, primarily in TVET institutions and chosen colleges. The total transition policy is to blame for this.
