TSC Increases The Retirement Age For The Following Category Of Teachers As It Gives The Reasons Behind The Decision
TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia noted during the press conference that 1594 heads of institutions who were supposed to retire in 2021 have been delayed by two years due to the effects of Covid-19 in the country.
She went on to say that the government has been investing cash to employ teacher interns since 2019. A total of 28,000 interns have worked for the Commission to far.
The CEO also expressed confidence in the teachers’ ability to welcome kids to Junior Secondary. “Our teachers are trained and equipped to deal with these students.”
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government would continue to pay examination fees for youngsters in both public and private schools. Since 2016, this has been the case.
This is the final examination being administered outside of the usual national examination season in October/November.
