TSC Will Not Offer Registration Certificate To Teachers With The Listed Subject Combinations/Courses
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced today that it will not register teachers who will train in subjects that are not in their current curriculum.
Applicants who wish to register with TSC are graduates with subjects which are not presently in the syllabus. New teachers who have done Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and/or Enhancement are not eligible despite being part of the guidelines for registration.
Those who have done PGDE with these courses are not eligible for registration as teacher. These courses do not provide adequate subject matter and therefore mastery of the material in the two teaching subjects is not sufficient as necessary.
However, the commission states that ‘Bachelor of Science or Arts degree, along with Post- Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and 2 teaching subjects are eligible for registration
