TSC to promote teachers in 15,522 positions

TSC to promote teachers in 15,522 positions at a cost of Sh1.4 billion, agency boss nancy Macharia has confirmed.

Macharia clarified that the the move to promote the tutors was due to natural attrition, deaths, some teachers joining politics and other reasons.

Machari told MPs on Tuesday that the compressed school calendar affected the process.

“Immediately after exams we shall advertise and start the process of promoting the teachers to different grades,” Macharia said.
